Doulas are an asset during all types of birth, including medicated, unmedicated, and cesarean. No matter what your birth style, we are trained to support you through it.
Think of your doula as your best friend that has knowledge and training in all things pregnancy and childbirth related. She is your very own personal Google, but without all the scare tactics! She is the one who knows the ins and outs of everything you are going through, the one who you go to for guidance, knowing she won’t judge you or your decisions. Your doula is your rock to lean on, and your pillow to relax into. She’s got your back. Her ultimate goal is for you to feel empowered by your birth, no matter which way you want to have your baby. From a non-medicated home-birth, to a fully planned, scheduled cesarean, she wants to help you on your path with whatever your needs are.
At The Nurtured Nest, we offer a complimentary consult prior to booking to ensure that you feel comfortable and secure with your decision in your choice. Once you know you’ve found your doula, we move on to the next steps.

Unlimited phone, text, and email support from the time of contract signing
A doula who is on-call for your birth from the time your contract is signed, ready to join you as soon as you request her
A prenatal visit in the comfort of your own home going over your ‘birth blueprint’ and possible labor scenarios
Hands-on support throughout your entire labor
Support after labor as you bond with your baby
A postpartum follow-up to see how you and baby are adjusting, to talk about your birth or any other questions or concerns that have arised
A full year of check-ins to ensure you and baby are doing well, addressing concerns, and referrals (if needed)
